Thanks guys!  The frame was a little warp/twisted, so its in the vice right now.  I had to glue the interior bottom with the fenderwells into the frame to try and get it to straighten out.  Once I put tension on the vice, it straightened out.  Now, just to wait for a day or so and see what happens.  Hopefully it will straighten out like I need it to.  I didn't notice it until I started putting the suspension together.

Finally a sunny day and my son with his camera for some out side pictures. The cars on the truck are all 1968 model year: Fury station wagon, Fury III, Imperial, Fury I, Charger R/T, 300, Dart, Road Runner and a Barracuda

Worked on the frame and the interior today. I had to cut and trim the interior tub so it would fit. Next I will cut down the dash board. It's looks like I will also need to cut a little out of the front axel to bring the wheels into the fenders.

D, I love the car carrier. Watching the new cars come in was always one of my favorite things about working at a dealer. Really jumping around on this build. I think it's because I am still trying to figure out how to do some things. Anyhow, tonight I finished up the door trim panels. Tired of fussing with them so I will live with them and move on. I will add the straps to raise the windows later.

Tim: Man doncha hate when that happens? I built an Eduard Fw190 A8/R2 a couple of years back and being one of Eduard's Royal Class kits it was pricey. I started building it only to find out that the upper and lower wing assy was warped........bad........and there's two kits in these Royal Class boxings and both of 'em were like that. The fuselage halves ended up being warped as well. So yes I know that sucks lol!

Dan: Those are some really cool lookin' pictures! Do you want to use one of those for the Completed Builds section here or do you have plans on taking anymore pics? Good grief! That 39 is gonna be a work of art. You sure are throwing a lot of good work at it!  Top notch stuff man!

Mopar D, probably the most incredible automotive project I've seen. Just wicked, cannot say enough on how cool that friggin' thing is!!! Way to go...

You're the Man,  Dan!  I think that project in itself is so awesome... and to think there is only Mopar's on it makes it even more unique.

Ok folks. I've got THE update today. This freekin' motor and engine bay are now officially finished!!! I'm happy with it for the most part because it is , after all , an improvement. There are a few things that I need to work on to keep it from looking so modelish but I'll work on those as time progresses.

Here's the before pic:(and my God you can see the wrinkles in the decals here!!)

 and the after pics. These depict the body in an almost pinkish color but I had to brighten the photos to bring out all the details. Future full car photos will be in the normal color...

Finally got the engine finished, for the most part.  I had to pin the fuel pump, it wasn't cooperating when trying to run the fuel lines.  Unfortunately, I couldn't get rid of the chassis warp completely, so hopefully it won't be detrimental to the build.  Here are a couple of pics of my latest progress.

Thanks Jay!  It's getting there... one day at a time.

I finally got to shoot some black and then clear tonight.  I wasn't sure about it at first, but I think once the trim is BMF'd that separates the black and red, plus the chrome rims, it will break it up nicely and the color combo should look good.

Prepped and ready for the black base coat.

3 coats of black base coat, then into the dehydrator for 15-20 minutes or so.

Just before the clear coat went on.

This one got 6-7 total coats of clear on it, so it should be glass once its wet sanded and polished.

It's hard to really get the sparkle and pearl out that's in the red, but it really is a cool color under the light, especially sunshine.

Tim - nice paint work.  I agree the chrome will bring it to life.

Love the black and red and yes, chrome and black will look superb

Got the tail light bar and rear valance installed. I also got the rear spoiler painted , caled and semi-glossed. Only have the hood and the radio antenna left folks!

Tim -  your red and black with a little BMF is going to look fantastic.

A few small steps. Finished the dash, including deleting the radio and heater controls. Installed the rollbar and drybrushed the padding and carpet RLM 66 gray. Trying to get some contrast as everything in the interior is black. Hopefully there will be some definition and not just a black hole when it's done. Painted the engine compartment and worked on smoothing out the driveshaft tunnel to look like one piece of stamped sheet metal. Lots of CA and sanding.

More work on the interor cut down the dash and firewall. I also cut 1/8" out of the front axel to bring the wheels into the fenders. I'm going to have to move the engine back 1/8" and lower it some to get every to fit.

Thanks, Dan. Glad you are taking the time to get things positioned correctly. It can be a hassle but always looks better in the end.

Clear coated and polished the body today. I am not Tim by any stretch, but I am pretty happy with the results. I will take mottling any day over gloss finishes
