This kit was a challenge. This is not my best work but, I had fun building it.
Researching for the colors was the coolest part. There’s so much information on the internets but nothing beats watching a bunch of TOS episodes for reference.
Wife: “Don’t you ever get tired of watching those episodes?”
Me (calmly): “It’s called research, honey. It’s important.”
I did not expect to get blind-sided with all the fit issues with the operational panels.
The greatest lesson I learned was to dry fit everything, don’t leave anything to chance. It was a tough pill to swallow after I painted and decaled everything. Oh well, lesson well learned.
I could've pulled off some magic if my skill level was better with all those gaps and tight fits but, I gained knowledge for the next time.
I’m not 100% happy with the results but I’m glad I didn’t torch it.
If I ever do the bridge again I’m definitely shopping at Paragrafix for PE and decals (nods to mach71).
Let me just say, it was a pleasure "group building" with a highly skilled bunch. I am grateful for the feedback and look forward to watching out for your future builds.

I am planning on building only TOS this year in honor of the 50th anniversary. I also promised myself to build down my stash before I buy anything else (wish me luck).
This is what I busted out last night...
I don't remember any chrome being on the Klingon battle cruiser... Maybe this is supossed to be a "pimped-out-cruiser"...I must begin my "research".
Obviously this build will not meet the March 31st deadline for this paticular group build so, I'll start a thread in the Science Fiction forum and post updates. Please offer suggestions as I plow though the build.
