Darren

I've finally reached a verdict of the subject matter for the build ... put me down for the Revell 1/72 Me 262A1. And, if time allows, i might also get stuck into the Special Hobby 1/72 Ju 388K/L (quite an inpressive kit given its age ... complete with PE and resin bits too). Alternatively, if I feel brave enough, I might attempt to do something with the disasterous AModel 1/72 Ju288, which requires almost everything appart from the actual airframe to be scratchbuilt (undercarriage, prop blades, markings, etc., etc.)

Take a sheet of white paper, fold equally along the centre...........you know the rest.

Just draw some BA markings on the side, she'll never know the difference.Wink [;)]

George, glad to hear you've come up with a build, I'll update you on page 1.

Sean no probs I'll shoot the decals through when you've moved. You are moving aren’t you?
I got that sheet from either Great Models or Meteor Productions but it doesn't matter because I don't think its available any more Sad [:(]

Cheers

Hmmm Eduard do a PE set for the 219, i might get that instead of the Aires resin pit seein as how i'm better with PE than resinThumbs Up [tup]

BTW Sean i was talking to Jay over at the Canadian GB and he was refering to a Canadian MK VIII Spit from 403 SQD i think that kept it's Invasion stripes right up to VE day............

I'm using the Eduard PE cockpit set on my Hasa Me 109 G10, wishing I'd bought the Aires resin one as I'm still going to have to add cabling etc from scratch. Not a big deal I know but resin just seems better suited to that kind of thing.

The Panther with loads of AM goodies is definitely on for this GB as the Payrise Fairy just paid me a visitBig Smile [:D].

Way To Go Jules! Like wing nut says, good excuse for a beer, unfortunately I am at work, they frown apon that kind of behaviour here. Must be bad for the image if clients see their consultants drinking beer or other spirits on the job...mmm... wonderwhy? Any way congrats Jules, When I get home tonight, I'll have a nice cool Big Rock Traditional Ale in your name! (My fav, brewed right here in Calgary!)Party [party]Yeah!! Jules happily types out his 2000th FSM forum post. Lulled into that false sense of security of being in a warm friendly place that has come to be known as OZ. Unbeknownst to Jules, a dark creature lurks in the background hiding in the dark…moving from shadow to shadow. It is not pleased. "I will not allow it to happen!" she growls from deep within. In the same moment, Jules’ throat closes involuntarily from the putrid smell of stale beer, burnt weissbrot and sweaty gym clothes. SHE lunges from the shadows screaming. “…From hell’s heart, I stab at thee…” (In German of course). But Jules has had a few stale beers and weissbrots himself and puts up a formidable defense… as can be seen by the fact that he is up to 2005.Wink [;)]

(OK… you down under guys have been dominating this GB thread for a few days now…. Just wanted to get a yank in hereBig Smile [:D]… I wanna start building…Boohoo [BH])

Decals for the Liberation Army of Russia bf109G-10 (Revell 1/48th) have shipped from Great Models-Project 1.
Purchased a Tamiya 1/35 Marder III M today @ Hobby Lobby (had to use the 40% off coupon!Wink [;)]) to use as Project 2. Had a hard time choosing between the Marder & the Panther G Late but ended up with the Marder. Should keep me busy from winter till spring.....

Looks like Tamiya are about to launch an armoured contender in 1/48 for this GB.

See thread below;

Now do I got 1/48 or 1/35 Tamiya panther G?Confused [%-)]

I know which one would be cheaper!

Tut. 1/48 of course. I built their 1/48 stug and it was awesome. I am rapidly developing a soft spot for 1/48 armor.

Richard

Great, that means we'll have a 1/32 Me 162, 262 and a Heinkel He 162 in this GB!

Tanky 1/48 would seem the way to go, but my He 162 is 1/32, and I kinda fancy an armour piece in a similar scale.

Karl
