Yeah Sean thats fine just send me an email with your list and i'll order it on FridayThumbs Up [tup]

Well going off topic again The Aus post Parcel lady( My Missus ) handed me my Supermarine S6B Seaplane today so i'm pretty stoked about that, Not much to the testors kit not even a cockpit so some scratchbuilding will be in order as well as a little rigging, one thing that i noticed right away is how narrow the fueselage is, it's kinda like a Spitfire that went on a crash diet and grew some floats.........

Darren,

It looks as if it will not be a difficult build. The only thing I notice is that due to the fact I have had this kit for such a long time that this kit's quality is not up to Hasagawas kit standards of today so I will bee adding and altering a few items.

Boy, it sure doesn't take long to slip to page 2 around here now.

Chris that's a great looking Panther, is that a real scheme or something you've come up with (sorry I'm not a tank expert) because it looks cool.

Richard it sounds like you're going to have to exercise those scratch building skills of yours

Dimitar (Shtepsela) welcome to our little build, it's nice to have you with us. I'll add you and your build (which sounds very coll by the way) to page 1.

Bob & James no problems, I'll update both of you on page 1 as well.

Cheers

Hey all-watched a great movie today (at least in my humble opinion)-Saints and Soliders. Low budget independent 2004 release but very powerful. Basic story line is about some U.S. soliders who survive the massacre of POW's during the Battle of the Bulge, decide to hide out until help comes, then rescue a downed British photo recon airman who has vital information that requires getting thru enemy lines. Well worth watching....especially since this build doesn't start till Dec 1st!

btw-bump Wink [;)]

Can't say the same for some model paints thoughSad [:(]
Couple of lids weren't on tight enough, and some people can't understand the meaning 'This Way UP'

But it's all good, and hopefully by the end of the month I'll have the bench up and running, just resurfaced the bench top on Friday night so she is squeaky clean to go!!Approve [^]

Tom I hear your yearning to start a support group for 1 legged buzzards...............seeing as your group for 5 legged ants failed so dramaticallyWink [;)].

Hows about a support group for those nursed by Kremps!!!!
There's heaps of money and issues for any shrink willing to take that one on!!Tongue [:P]Tongue [:P]

Yeah but it only failed cause you and "Kremps" pulled off an extra leg from each ant which made the 5 legged ant support group redundant[:0]Disapprove [V]

Oh yeah Sean & Daniel The Squadron order is ordered, don't send any coin yet because i'm not totally sure whether or not all of our goodies are available, i'm also not sure how much the postage costs will be, Squadron put it down as $80:00US but if they charge us that it will be highway robbery seein as how all the things we ordered would fit into the average sized Tamiya 1/48 box with room to spare............

Jules, Squadron will charge you the actual cost of shipping or half the order, whichever is less. The quote they give is always over the top (but for may orders at least) when shipped it becomes something a lot more reasonable.

Now I know you lads have just bought up big from Squadron but Greatmodels has one of their sales on Hasegawa models and they have some decent bargains. I picked up the 1/48 Typhoon Mk.Ib 'Tear Drop Canopy' for about $29 AUS (and that includes shipping). Last time I checked this kit was $58 AUS in my LHS.

I would like to be added to the list for this group build. I would like to build a 1/16 Figure but I’m not sure which ones would fit into this criteria. I was thinking of a German machine gunner or sniper.

Hmmmmmmmm, might have to check out Great models...I need another 1/48 Spitfire to dump the detail set into that I ordered from Squadron.

The Spit for this GB will be OOB, but the next one will hopefully have invasion stripes and detail galore!!!!

I just received my latest eBay purchase, 1/72 He 219 and 1/72 Do 335 Dragon kits, and they look pretty cool for braille scale!
Decent engraved panel lines, naff all sink marks or ejector pin marks.

Both of them even have the PE for antennas etc.
Should be a good test for my new airbrush, getting the dots on the UHU.

Or I might just get some Blu Tak and make small balls and reverse mask it................

Hi there Blake (Beaker) and welcome to the build. If you're thinking of the Tamiya 1/16 figures then go for it, as I've heard they are pretty good. I know the WWII German Machine Gunner (Greatcoat) would fit into the time period but I'm not familiar with the sniper.

Sean well done on your e(vil)Bay purchases, any particular reason you went with 1/72 over your usual scale? Oh and on the subject of reverse masking checkout what I found while doing a quick search on the 1/72 He 219

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the group BlakeThumbs Up [tup]

Sean Sounds like you have done well on Ebay, I'm waiting on a few Spitfire's to show up at the moment, 10's the magic number for my Spitfire collection starting off with the MK 1a from the initial production batch with the 2 bladed prop and finishing with the FR MK 24 which looks totally different.......
BTW looking at the pics of that 219 in the link that Darren posted i would say that reverse masking would be the way to go with the 1/72 scale kit, unfortunatly i think that the paint demarkation lines would be a little to sharp useing blutac on my 1/48 219 so i may have to get a little creativeThumbs Up [tup]
