Lord Kenny,

Will the turtle award go to the last person to actually finish a build (provided it is by the deadline) OR will it go to the person who took the longest from start to finish.  If it is the latter, than I would like to go down on record as having started my build (at least in my head Whistling [:-^] - what was that about plastic talking...) 1 second after the voting totals were posted in January...  Yeah, that's it, 1 second....  And it'll be done 1 second before... uhhh, wait, I'm gettin' a little ahead of m'self....Headphones [{(-_-)}]

Sorry for my absence been really busy past few weeks. But here are a few pics of my Abrams painted with some weathering.

The Abrams is on hold right now. Because I messed up one of the unit markings Banged Head [banghead] and a need a replacement. But I should be able to fix it with a little work I hope Sleepy [|)]

Just quick note to let everyone know that I've voted albeit late. I did pick the Death Star tho...

Excellent work on the locomotoive  Thumbs Up [tup] Thumbs Up [tup] - can't wait to see more.

I've begun work on the Tiger I. I'm still test fitting to see exactly how much of the interior will be visible (or how much scratchbuilding do I want to do). I have a rather large pile of sub-assemblies on the bench. Needless to say the fit is not the best and I'm glad that I've got a new tube of putty. I 've done a ton of research for another Tiger build and will probably mark this one up as one of the Aces from the 101st sSS Panzer Liebstandarte Adolf Hitler. I'll post photos when I got some interior paint laid down and the engine and trans installed.

Paul, awesome work on that loco! Thumbs Up [tup]   It's a good idea to keep the roof removeable, it would be a shame to not be able to see your interior paint work.

Congrates, Marc & nice work!! Bow [bow] Paul, that locomotive is lookin' sharp!

Kenny, since I get a vote also, it would be for the two T.I.E. fighters. Sci-Fi doesn't seem to be represented much here! Wink [;)]

Great work on the 262 WingNut!Thumbs Up [tup] I really like the details and the paint is great.  And indeed, you are one speedy builder.  I'm afraid that my loco may take longer than I thought.  I work and work and think i'm just rippin' though it then i step back and look and holy cow!  Of course the PE details adds lots of parts.  For example, 1 part # f33 add a few PE parts... 29 to be exact!  1 part to 30 and there are 2 of them!

1 part...

POOF

30 parts

Here is a mock up.  Main sub-assemblies are not glued.

The boiler fit was pretty good but left gaps in the worst places possible- the top!  Because the boiler has rivets and panel seams, I did not want to Putty it up to much so a little wire and no more seams Smile [:)]

I've decided to leave the roof of the cab removeable because i want to show of the inside of the cab and because the inside roof detail is just cool.

I love seeing everybodys pics.  Keep up the great work!

Well earned trophy there wing_nut.  You did a great job on the detail of the landing gear bays & doors.  Your paint job is a very nice "bar" for me to aim for.

Hey kenny, do you have a tortise or snail trophy for the last person to complete their build?  I fear that I might be in contention for it.......

I have got to get myself set up with a spray booth or I may never get anything completed.  Everytime I think I am ready to build myself one, something comes along to steal the $$$ that I had saved for it.
