More stunning is the gun bay (I like guns Tongue [:P]) and the landing gear housing, absolutely good details on them!

Now that I have built one.... I want to do me 262's... and the Tamiya kit is sweet.

I think he meant the other Marc (Bear), Marc (Wingnut)! Wink [;)]

Hope you are feeling better soon Bear.  I feel kind of under the weather myself (6 year old kept me up all night) but I'm still at work. Sad [:(]

Marc, I don't believe for a minute that's a first time squiggle camo! Big Smile [:D]  I think you've done this before since it looks perfectly fine.  The shading on the panels looks great, the splinter camo is well executed.  The 262 is looking pretty darn good.

Building Now:

1/48 Academy Bf-109G6 - 100%

1/48 Tamiya F4U-1A - 5%

Upcoming:

1/48 Revell F-14D

well, today, I was looking through the Abrams kit for a farewell, and something clicked and it looks like I'm keeping it lol. I plan on making it my first freehand camo tank. If permissible, can I rejoin?

No cat pics to post but I do have a bird pic.

262 progress...finally.  Got the camo applied.  Some first here.  First try at spraying squiggles.   First time with new AB... Badger 100LG.  Trying to get the right combo of paint/thinner ratio, air pressure, spray distance, paint flow (jeez, this is more complicated than a golf swing) to get nice thin squiggles... mine are too "fuzzy".  Any thoughts from the group to improve this would be appreciated.  First time lightening the color with about 10% white to fill in panels unevenly for a faded look.  Actually did this once before but was in combo with black preshading.  No preshaded this time to see how it turns out.

No cats here my friends.... just six a month old daughter (that never gets close to the desk) and two weenie dogs (that do get close to the desk). I haven't gotten really far on the 162. A lot of stuff going on gettin' ready to go downrange. This project will be done before then.... I think. Anyways, I did what some may call impossible. I was able to get a decal to suck down to a raised instrument panel and not look like a toy bought at the swap-meet. A glass of Italian wine some solvaset and a great deal of patience and it looks OK. I used some Testors canopy cement to make the glass for the gauges. Like I said not perfect but a decent shot..... I have to keep reminding myself SCRATCHBUILD! More to follow later in the week, JOSH

i agree arki that is what the build is about and it should be the second choice that we all decided on (my bad wasnt thinking)

Hasegawa F-16C block 30 was the second most voted on kit on your list .

unfortunately the three kits you posted we never even voted on. sorry for going against what i said before. but to keep in the spirit of the build and why we all voted in the first place this is how it will have to be.

if you do not want to build that kit and want to drop from the build we will understand. we all have put hard work getting this build up and running so we should stick to the rules we have decided upon.

kenny

yeah... that was what I was asking about... the dope that I am forgot that on the original post. Unless I muster up some motivation, it looks like I'm dropping out of the build.

Sorry guys
