No cats here my friends.... just six a month old daughter (that never gets close to the desk) and two weenie dogs (that do get close to the desk). I haven't gotten really far on the 162. A lot of stuff going on gettin' ready to go downrange. This project will be done before then.... I think. Anyways, I did what some may call impossible. I was able to get a decal to suck down to a raised instrument panel and not look like a toy bought at the swap-meet. A glass of Italian wine some solvaset and a great deal of patience and it looks OK. I used some Testors canopy cement to make the glass for the gauges. Like I said not perfect but a decent shot..... I have to keep reminding myself SCRATCHBUILD! More to follow later in the week, JOSH

I was hoping to drop in a couple of update photos this weekend. I almost had the resin cockpit together and was up to dry fitting the side walls in place and checking to make sure the fuselage halves went together with perhaps getting them glued together by tonight. Sadly lasy night, the clawed monster....

...'dismantled' the cockpit for me. Censored [censored]Luckily I have managed to wrestle everything from the carpet monster and the cat didn't chew on anything. So now I am back to where I was a week or so ago with some paint touch up needed as well. Oh well Banged Head [banghead] I have the hole cut in the side of the fuselage for the gunbay. Back to the cat-proof drawing board!

I agree. It goes against the voting system of this GB. I'm not the happiest fellow with the results, as I already built a Panzer IV D and wanted to keep the Sturer Emil for later......   but when I signed in, I was trilled by the fact that people would choose what I'll be building! Kinda makes me remember of work too......   don't really like working on that perticular equipment, but hell, somebody's gotta do it!Wink [;)]

That a great kit variety!   Good!

I propose that we do the same as before, vote for 3 kits, and send the results to the Royal Scribe. Is that OK with my lordship? (and the Royal Scribe)

haven't really decided. I'll get back to you guys.

Thanks for the leeway! Big Smile [:D]

With all due respect, shouldn't the next build be the second-most voted on item from your submitted list, i.e. 1/48 Hasegawa F-16C Block 30?

Otherwise, just picking whatever you wish to build sort of defeats the entire purpose of the voting we all went through for this Group Build.

Just my My 2 cents [2c]

Is it too late to post a list of kits in the stash & have others give their opinion? I really have a hard time deciding what to build next if I don't have anything specific that I would have to build for!

Little update: Panzer IV Ausf. D

The road wheels are done. The clean up was made easier with my trusty Dremel tool.

The drive sprockets take forever to clean up, so will the suspension boggies and idler wheels.

Gotta love old kits!

Kenny,

Thanks for the effort.  I am guessing they did not have it.  I have one more place to check before I have to admit complete defeat Sad [:(].

Ah well, I am trying to be philisophical.  If I can't find any great references, I'll just build it up to my own specifications... Big Smile [:D]

Hope everyone is having a fun and productive weekend and getting some building done.

Razordws,

Hey, when your dad is done at your house, wanna send him my way?  I've got enough little projects to keep him busy until he is 150!!!

I have lost complete interest in the M1A2 (surprisingly... I was dieing to get this kit a year ago) and I am giving it to a friend. could I possibly change the build? I wont be able to do much modelling after this summer for 4 years, so I want to build what I really want.

if not, I will just drop out of this build.

sorry!

Life is too short to get hung up on the minor details. We are all fighting our own little personal battles. At the end of the day you have to do what makes you happy. Thanks for the advice mph but it is a little more complicated than that.  To put it breifly my wife went back to school, my parents have come to stay to help out, and we got a surprise exchange student from Korea (complicated story).  So far everything is working out great and My Dad is actually going crazy on my house fixing up all those little nagging broken things that I never seem to have time and energy to do myself.  He is now through most of my list and onto the storage room in what was the garage.  The best part is... after the storage room is the new work bench area Big Smile [:D]Thumbs Up [tup].  The bad news is that the current work bench is right beside the guest room so I can't make any noise after they go to bed which is when most of my model building happens.  Hopefully I'll get some time in this weekend.

Marc, your build is progressing very nicely indeed. Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup]

If the weather holds up like that, then time to pull out the yard tools, the paint cans and anything else you can to use to scare off the 'guests' quickly.  That, or if you have a doctor friend, arrange for a 'contagous desease' Laugh [(-D]

Since we have had no snow for two weeks, the construction work is trying to get caught up.  So I have had liitle time for my B-25.  BUT, tomorrow is Saturday, and I have been promised by my wife and daughter that I get to 'play' Big Smile [:D] (what they call my modeling).  I should be able to make some good progress on the plane, and hopefully post some photos.

Mark, outstanding job on the wiring.

Here in sunny IN we had 13.5 inches of snow and I still had to drive through it to work.Sign - Dots [#dots]

Well fellas.... no snow in Germany. Supposed to be about 50 deg this weekend. It FINALLY quit raining today. So on with my progress, I have the wings and tail feathers together. I did that while waiting for paint to dry in the cockpit. What a tiny little cockpit...kinda spartan to. I think I can do some more sprucing up in there. I will post some pictures this weekend. Keep up the good work on the builds fellas!   JOSH
