Lonestar does good work, especially for a one-man operation. But, I've noticed some of his castings have bubbles, warpage, thin parts are too thin and sometimes the parts don't fit without some decent modification. And some of the detail is gritty. I don't know if it's in the original piece or the molds may be getting old.
I'll use him for kits that noone else has AM stuff for (like the P-61), but for more popular kits, I'll take an Aires set. Aires has incredibly crisp detail and finish. They have to be using a vac-pressure casting system in order to get the detail they do.
Verlinden is an OK set as well. Their resin seems to suffer the same issues as LSM, but they include PE as well, so it's not too bad of a deal.
I'm anxious to get to my Eduard FW190-A6. The casting looks nice and sharp and they include some nice PE stuff as well.
