Looks good Steve, is that Heller's version of the Launch?, also I believe the windlass would be mounted farther aft.

Cheers!

If you have another go, put the windlass quite central, in place of one bank. Also the mast could be mor in the front perhaps the second bench. Those big boats usually had a second mast aft. There are plenty of pictures in the NMM about that.

Really beautiful work Steve! I haven’t checked in for awhile so I’m playing catch up here. Love what you did with the boat too. Where did you find that anchor?

I could have sworn I got them from cornwall models , but I bought them that long ago , I'm not sure . I have had a quick look through their range , but couldn't find them . if you need some , PM me your address and I will send them to you .  this is how they came .

could I ask you a question please , is the knight's head I bought off of you , the same 1805 - 1765 . I bought it before I decided to do the earlier version . if so , is the kit supplied version ok

I think the one from the fresh delivery is much better anyway :-) The shape of the "oiginal" Heller ones is square, as it should be rhomboïde.

Steve...I have followed your log from the beginning, but still not sure about the paint scheme you have chozen.

Is this the Victory?  Or just the use of the kit for another vessel?

Steve, your work is really great & I look forward to seeing more. I still love what you did with the Robert E Lee. You really detailed it beautifully.Of course I am partial to riverboats & they don't have any rigging.   Gene

the victory didn't get the bee colour scheme , until 1803 , I think , when nelson took over . this is from1765 , when she was first floated , as far as I know no-one know's what colour scheme she had , also the shorter top and forecastle deck's , lower channel's etc . it's just a bit of artistic liscensne Geeked

cheer's gene alway's good to here from you mate .

Been wandering about the forum looking at different types of models, and came upon this thread.  This is a very ambitious project.  Love the subject, being an avid reader of the age of sail.

I will continue to follow this thread, as it is just fascinating.

You are doing great, Steve!

Dwayne or Dman or just D.  All comments are welcome on my builds.

Great work Steve, this is a very interesting undertaking that you are doing in that we get to see the Victory in a different representation.
