Cheers BK. Just about. I have a dedicated section of my display shelving just for Stuka's and the top 2 shelves are for this project.

That's pretty cool, Bish. All this work is really very nice. Do you have enough room for all this to display?

Got the painting finished on the 48th Stuka. I did the camoe first then masked off for the yellow markings. On this kit i'll use the decals for the yellow wing V.

So next will be decals, weathering and the white wash all over.

I have also been working on some of the other items. The 144 kit was put together, its since been primed and not ready for painting.

And the cannon, to which i am adding metal barrels from master.

Also got to painting the bust. The jerkin is white but clearly i didn't want it pure bright white. I am pretty happy with how its come out.

And the decorations were painted and added to the base. It can't be seen on the pics, but i added diamonds by useing Woodland scenices water effects. Does not quite have the same apperance from what i have seen in pics, but there is a nice sparkle to it.

More soon.

Cheers mark. I know a lot of people don't like Rudel, so i can appreciate those who do comment. There is no doubting his skill at what he did on the Eastern Front.

Stunning work on the pit Bish. All that pe really dresses things up. Looking forward to see how you tackle the bust. I also dabble in figure painting now and then,  Hmm actually more then than now. I find specially in the larger scales the face flesh tones somewhat challenging to get a realistic rendition. The eyes also are challenging with that twinkle or wet look making them look perfect.

Great builds Bish, well done mate. I cant say that I am a fan of Rudel and his alliances, but there is no doubting his efficiency and his skill as a pilot. Looking forward to the remainder of these builds.

Best Regards

Mark

I got the construction finished on the Stuka, it went together so quick that i didn't get a chance to get any pics, just took a couple of evenings to get just about everythinbg on.

Got the last section of canopy on and everything masked.

Its since been primed and now awaiting its blue undersides which i will do tomorrow. Once thats drying i will make a start on the figure and bust.

I completely forgot about this build of yours. I'm glad I get update notifications.

I'm also looking forward to the bust.

Been a bit longer than i had intened, but after 7 months away from this build i am finally finishing it off.

Just a quck reminder of what i am doing in this last stage.

hasegawa's 1/48th Ju 87G-2

Is joined by Eduards 144 version

Along with a 1/9th bust from Mitches Models

And finally a 1/32nd metal figures, with dog.

My main focus has been on the 48th kit. As to be expected, this started with the cockpit with quite a bit of Eduard PE.

The flat PE head and back rest where thickened with some sheet styrene.

Black primer was followed with some Xtracolor enamel RLM 66.

I weathered this with a black Flory wash and some dry brushing with oils and then attached all the coloured PE.

And the PE ammo boxes which i will fit once the pit is in.

And there is just the stick to paint and fit which honestly i had not completly forget about until 2 mins ago Whistling, and then the pit can be fitted.

I have not touched the 48th kit yet, but i did prep the bust and figures, these have since been given a primer coat but no paint yet.

More to follow soon.

Thanks for reloading those pictures! The aircraft looks just as impressive (if not more so) in the larger size.

Ye, i have seen that built up at our last club night. The guy who built it is an amazing builder and said it was a stunning kit. He was under a deadline so was not able to expose the engine, but i think he will do another. I am certainly planning on getting one and like you hoping it leads to a Dora. Revell have really been doing some stunning kits in this scale the last few years.

Bish, get yourself the ROG 1/32 F-8. It is gorgeous! The details are incredible right out of the box and it's under $40! What a beauty!

I would love to see ROG come out with a new tooled Dora as with the F-8. They released the D9 a while back but like their 109K, both are Hasegawa reboxes. Both are still great but a fresh new tooled one is always welcomed.

Thanks PJ. And i know what you mean. I have a couple of other 72nd D's in the stash, including one with the red underside and white strips. I would not mind doing that in 32nd, might just have to try and grab the Hase kit of that one. Its a pity not more comanies are doing Dora's in this scale.

I somehow missed the Dora's completion Surprise. She looks stunning, love the scheme! The base is kick ass too. There are so many different schemes that a bunch of Doras can be modeled each looking so different from each other just like the Tomcat or F4. So many sharp looking schemes around making it difficult to narrow down to just a couple.Beer

Bish,

New uploads look great...I love the "Wall of Fame" photo with all your builds.

Thanks Hunter. That whole sewction of shelving is dedicated to Stuka's, with just the top 2 for the Rudel builds.

Bish, yes the larger images look great, and I did not notice any effect on load page time.

Oh, was meaning to ask what colour you use for the bombs?

regards,

Jack

Thanks Jack, i'll use larger images from now on. I'll change the ones on the front page tonight.

I used RLM 71 on those.
