Bish

But it is designe for the Hase kit. .

LOL, so was the CMK one "Designed  for the Revell 1/32 He-162".........in their dreams ! :crying:

Glad yours worked out. It's the norm with resin updates to do some fitting but man, the CMK fit was just atrocious. At least it has some very fine details over the kit's pit.

Thanks guys.

Steve, there are only a couple of on line supplies in the UK. Our LHS only carries the basics, Tamiya, Humbro, Revell and a few Xtracolour. There range seems to be pretty decent, they have all the German aircraft and armour colours i can get with my current range plus a few i can't.  I'm not going to fully commit yet, will try it out on a few more, but pretty pleased with it.

PJ, on the Stuka i just had to sand off the detail on the side walls as the Aires one includes those. But other than that, fit fine. But it is designe for the Hase kit. On the 190, i have done some test fitting and its perfect without any trimming.

These are my first 32nd resin pits and they certainly fit better than 72nd ones.

Both models are looking great Bish. Will the Aires pit drop in or does it need surgery. I used CMK on my 1/32 Salamander and it was a PITA to make it fit.

I would like to try MRP but I have to get it through the net. Our LHS has Tamaya, Testers and Vallejo so I end up getting one of those in a pinch. I tried to switch to one manufacturer but when I need a color I have to go with what I find.

My eclectic paint collection is ridicules LOL.

I have heard that MRP is very good and would love to give it a try. I just need to bite the bullet and make an order.

The Stuka is looking great!! Yes I'm enjoying this build. as well as all your builds, very much.

Been slowly progressing on the Stuka with the priming and painting. After painting the yallow markings this were masked off. I had originally planned on adding and msaking the markings before painting, but have decided to add them after. So once everything was masked, it got a coat of Alclad grey primer. I then had to go back and touch up some seams with filler and sanding.

The underside then got its blue coat. I am useing MRP for the first time and was expecting to need to apply at least 3 coats, but this went on really nice and just one coat gave a great finish, though i did give it a light second one. I am really pleased with this and am giving a lot of thought to switching to this as my go to paint at least for German aircraft and maybe even armour, thats after over 20 years of sticking to Xtracolour.

The only 2 downsides with the MRP is the cost, even allowing for the extra paint in the bottle it cost more than what i use now. But given how much i waste with tins going off, i thnik that will balance out. And the only negative is having to apply a gloss coat if useing decals, but given the fast drying time, adding a couple of coats of gloss won''t be to big an issue.

So i am going to do the top side and see how that goes. I still have plenty of Xtracolour, so i might keep the MRP for larger models for now. But i will see how it goes and as my Xtracolour runs out, i might well be replacing it. MRP deffinetly gets a Yes from me at the moment.

The cannon ha also been put together along with some wiring and have been apinted.

Not sure how long i need to leave this before masking, so will play safe and wait until tomorrow.

And with the time i had while leaving the Stuka to dry, i have made a start on the 190. Main focus has been on the Aires resin pit and undercarrage. The pit has been apinted and weathered and just need to add some final details.

And the wheel wells were fitted and painte, just need to add some washes and dry brushing.

Thats all for now. Thanks for looking.

Sorry BK, i seem to have missed your post. Thanks very much for the comment, means a lot.

Been taking things slowly with this, had to tackle the trickest part so far, getting the wings together, but wanted to make sure i got this right.

So i started off with the wing centre section, filing in thye bomb rack and ading the PE.

and putting together the larger outer sections including the extended wing tips.

And then the hard part, fitting the sections together. I have read a number of reviews and no one mentions an issue with this. So i am not sure if it was an error on my part or if the brace which runs through the midle of the centre section was off. But when in added the outer wings the join was pretty bad. Where the joined on top there was a big gap underneath. So with a combination of clamps and filler i managed to get them together. This did mean quite a bit of filling and sanding along the top of the wing which was a bit tricky given the rounded shape of the raised brace which runs back to front where the wing angle joined. Once that was done, i was able to fit wings to fuselage.

But i am preparing myself for some more clean up of the wing join once i have primed it.

And then getting the final parts on, spats, tail, control surfaces and so on.

So now time to get some paint on, starting with markings, and get the wing cannon built.

Thanks guys.

Toshi, the belts are not from hasegawa, they are from a company caled HGW, based in the Czech republic. They do them in 24th, 32nd and 48th. You should grab a set.

I know Bod, but fortunatly, the bulkhead is tucked under the edge on the top of the fuselage and with the rear canopy section in place, it should be ok.

Looks very nice Bish, it's a shame that the resin pieces didn't fit that well but you did a great job painting it up.

You always have very nicely done starts.  They are always crisp.  The Hasegawa seatbelts really sets the mood in the cockpits!

I used them for the Spit on the RAF build and really liked them. I'll buy them again since they add so much to the look.

After a false start back in August, i finally got going with the 1/32nd Kanonvogel a couple of weeks ago. As usuall, work started with the pit, in this case the Aires resin one. After some assemble, a coat of RLM 66 was followed with some light Flry wash and dry brushing. At this stage i fitted the side walls into the fuselage.

After lots of referance checking, i then got to painting in details such as cables and pipework.

And then got the rest fitted and the fuselage closed up. Some parts of the resin pit seem a bt small. The rear bulkhead does not go the full width, and the fuselage was not thinned and i can't squeeze the sides in as it will put it out of shape. The foot peddles on the other hand were to wid and the position was not right, so i have altered then and will be attaching them to the back of the IP.

I used HGW fabric seats belts, i still need to fit the rear seat.

So next up will be to clean up the seams and then dust off the pit before getting the rest of the fuselage together and starting on the wings.

More soon.
