We have a new agent also.. Trinket is her name.. purring.. talking.. acting dumb is her game.. ( she's a Rescue )....

she visits the Man Cave often.. purring.. talking.. trying to climb the stash..

He has - "Agent 003" has been here since before Christmas. There have been several attempts to disrupt the competing assembly lines. I'm still able to distract her with string & "anything that jingles" for the most part.

Thank you gentleman for your kind words. Even with all the frustration of this build the end result is worth it to me.

Manstien the tarmac as you call it, is a red cinder block type stepping stone out in the backyard. I also want to thank you for running a rather unusal but fun group build. Its been a blast watching the gopings on here.

Now the question remains " Will Vance finish the paper Ho ? "

Yah Vol Herr Field Marshal 

I present my finished Ho.

And I built it so I could show off the engines too.

That Microscale liquid tape works great let me tell ya for holding the covers on even while I painted it.

I couldn't get the look I wanted in the pictures just couldn't get the old camera to show the camo very well, may be time for a new one or maybe a new operator LOL. Anyway I used Tamiya Olive Green for the base color and masked then used Tamiya Black Green for the camo. As an added twist I cut the masks with pinking shears for the pinked edge they worked perfectly. The camo looks pretty cool really, from some angles it looks to be a very soft edge and from others you can really see the sharp pinked edges. I would think if it was flying over a forest type of land scape it would be next to imposable to spot from above.

I hope you all like it. I will say the kit was a huge challange but I had fun with it and am pleased. In Fact if I get the chance I would build another one of these Dragon 229s.

Now do I get my badge, huh ? do I !!!!  huh, huh,  do I ?

Well thats true but here in SoCal what most call a light sprinkle they call a major storm here So the song is basically correct it never rains in California.

Down in sunny Australia, Herr Feldmarschall... There's not much to see, just a few bits clagged together ("Clag" is an old, old brand of glue, something like whiteglue, down here, so to "clag" is to stick...) I'll be around, don't worry!

Hi guys, no updates, the paints haveb beenm on back order for four or five months -- MM Acryls are still rare in this country and the distributor can't supply the whole range yet, at least not reliably, though that should improve as it looks like Pollyscale is being phased out and replace with Acryl.

When the RLM 78 and 80 come available I'll be able to take a shot at finishing that one, and doing other southern-front subjects, but until then I'm pretty much hamstrung...

I feel your pain on that nose gear....I told you it was a P.I.T.A. ....and the camo looks sharp!!!

Glue and paint has dried so its picture time. The camo doesn't show up well in the mancave so I will be taking pictures in natural light when my Ho is finished. Anyway here's where it is now, well a couple of hours ago, at the moment I am waiting for the glue on the engine installation to dry. And let me tell you slippin the engines in was childs play compared to assembling that nose gear.

That's a big ten-four, pardner...

Last night I pulled out the Nachtjaeger and it is structurally very similar to the Revell kit. The weak point on the standard edition is eliminated as the redesigned forward fuselage, with the engines buried internally, means there is a long joint between the nose and body parts. Hmmmm... No, must resist the temptation for now, I have too many others to do!

I have no idea how to make landing gear as fiddly and fragile as this line up square -- the sit is canted, of course... Maybe in 1:48 I'll have more luck! My tropical bird I may do gear-up on a stand of some sort, which simplifies things so I can get on with the paintwork as the main focus. The 1:48 nightfighter will be an interesting job and I think I can probably trust my AB skills to do the grey-owl mottle now.
