I'm not that good with 1/72nd cockpits but I think it will do. I ended up with a bad case of eye strain just from this:
Exterior of the engines painted Alclad jet exhaust with a little aluminum dusted on the tops:
Interior of the engines and the aft landing gear bays. I'm assuming they were metal and not wood too:
Overall shot of the Alclad aluminum painted gear legs and wheels plus the gunmetal cannons. Also I went ahead and painted the wings with the yellow leading edge ID stripes, masked them and painted the white home defense bands:
Very nice build so far. I've used a little putty but everything seems to fit quite well.
