Im With Bondillykins, the P1099 looks far to bulbous and ungainly to get about sweetly. It would have probably weighed half as much again as the 262, and the engines wernt great on that. Unless Messys sorted out the dodgyness of the motors and improved thier power and reliability, i think the 1099 would have struggled...a bit.
Dave, the pit looks great. In the devine scale, im sure the decals will be more than adequate. It looks good blown up on the screen, i bet it looks even better in the flesh.
Aaron, did you manage to get ANY sleep at all? Im imagining you spraying now while everyone else in the house is fast asleep. Finished pics tonight then, yeh?
Heres the pics from Modelbau of my U/4 conversion. The guy sent the bits without my payment 1st. I thought this would be easy, go to my bank, heres the IBAN number..send the dosh. Nope, it costs £25 to do the transfer, then theres the 13 euros on top. Geez. I said to the bod at the bank, how are you sending the money? By Bike? even then £25 would be steep. The guy at Modelbau says he couldnt understand why we (The British) would charge that as in Germany he gets and send loads of cash, for gratis. Rip off Britain, theres your answer, anyhoo, rant over, Pics,
All the U/C doors are there as well. Remember these were twist and turns, like a P-40 to make room for the Huuuuge Panzerknacker
Aaron, Great pic of the RC 262, but in the words of Crocadile Dundee (Ish) Thats not a Knife (262) this is a knife (262),
I was big into RC for a long while and had the great pleasure in meeting these Nutjobs, theyre called the Ghost squadron, and love nothing better than building huuuuge Warbirds. Thier 262 is the 2nd generation as the 1st 'Died' in an Airstrike!! Litterally!!. It hit a bird on takeoff and went in distroyed completely. These jets run on parafin which ignites in a crash, Ouchy. Heres the link to the rest of thier stuff,
