Anyhow.....Now i realize that an F-86 once existed  in black and green camo,

so I have to find it.....Russ....What was that Black and Green Camo F-86....

Ahh, ok lol! Thought I had completely lost my mind...instead of partially...  The black and green camo F-86 was a Viet Nam what-if I built on a whim one day. It actually looked pretty cool. I had an ECM pod (ALQ-71 I think) on one pylon and an AIM-9 on the other. Considering their small size, the F-86 would have been ideal for slipping in through the valleys under enemy radar.

she rubs my foot almost crying "the little mouse is in the trap...."....

"ooooohhhhh....he isn't doing too well.....ooohhh......"

'aaarff' i say and roll over for another half hour.

So, i shower, dress, and get ready for work.

I go down stairs, and into the kitchen.

on the counter is a scene from Sam Peckinpah.

I saw a blood soaked gore scene.

i had set a trap for a mouse.

it sprang on its brain.

The impact exploded the mouse's blood all over the wall, on the sugar server,

on the Tassimo disks, on the butter dish, on the toaster oven, on the bread bags,

the reflexes of the little critter dragged the trap a foot of blood spurts across the counter

in a big arching smear of horror.

You could see the explosion printed in red for about two feet around.

Its eyes had pooped out of its little cranium.

We are on round four cleaning the little guy's gore up.

it even stained the counter-top.

No, it wasn't a moose....just a mouse.

Gosh.......who'ld have thought......

Our dumb cat and dog think that a mouse running around the kitchen is another pet.

LOL.  My last cat, Merlin who I had for a bit over 16 years, used to hunt big game.  He started at 8 weeks with mice and small rats, then he would sneak out at night and hunt larger prey.  Birds, small woodland critters, possum, squirrels by the dozen, and unfortunately ONE skunk..  The problem was that he always wanted to "share" his meals with me...  Ever wake up in the middle of the night covered in possum or weasel blood and parts...?  My roomate at the time had a Rhodesian Ridgeback.  These are African lion hunting dogs...  That dog was absolutely terrified of Merlin, even when he only weighed less than a pound.  He culminated his career by taking on a German Shepard that was my Mom's kitten Snowball...  He won.  He ripped the dogs neck open.  I have never seen a cat kill a dog before that...  That was a service to the entire neighborhood.  That dog would chase and bite anyone it could, so he was kind of popular in his last years.  I really miss that cat...

mine just sits around watching them play.

The dog just gets jealous if he thinks they are eating

something he isn't getting.

I didn't feel sorry for that dog one bit.   It was dangerous, and Animal control had been trying to catch it for months.  We knew who owned it, and he wasn't allowed to have dogs where we lived anyways.  A couple;e of months a before Merlin got him, he bit a 5 year old and took off.  Cat's are great pest control.  In the Northeast, we had a major issue with rats, mice, rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks and just about every other thing you can think of.  Boston was mostly built on reclaimed salt water swamp land, and it always had animal problems.  And cat's aren't all about hunting and killing.  My cat Snitcch would just sit down and watch a small animal, except for this one squirrel who likes to torment him at the window.  That one would be lunch in a heartbeat if Snitch ever got at him.  I have had all kinds of cats.  Merlin got along great with pets.  He knew the difference.  When Marissa was young, she had guinea pigs.  Merlin would let them curl up and sleep with him.  Cats are a lot smarter than we give them credit for.

Back on topic..   I inventoried the FGR.2, and it's all there.  I will be completing it once I finish the ANZAC build kits.  I also found the decals for the particular one I am building.  Wish me luck, that kit is a bear...

I've been attacked by dogs 6 times in my life, and bitten. but in the end, an ornery vicious dog is the product of an ornery vicious owner. It doesn't mean I forgive the dog, I've won 2 fights with big snarlingdogs, and yes, I cheated. but its always nice to punish the owner when you can.

Merlin reminds me of my other pets, if they found a guniea pig on the lawn, it would be lunch, but inside, its a pal.....lol

I got off to a rough start with Sprue Bros.

About a year and a half ago I ordered an Aires kit like that in 1/32 to act a s a guide for my scratch engine

project. When the order arived, it was an engine for an F-8 Crusader, turns out at the time they were one digit or so apart.

So i send off an email, and ask them to correct it, and they refused. They lady who emailed me back

obviously eats thorns for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

She more or less told me i could send it back but as it was my fault, I had to pay return postage.

I pointed out to here that the dinged my credit card for the F-4 unit which cost more at the time, and she

didn't even blink, no, I could return the F-8 part and order a new one, I sent another email pointing out that they owed me mney and she ignored me.

So, I will contiune to buy elsewhere for a few years....lol

I remember that Dom.  I don't understand why you had that trouble.  I have had them send me the wrong part before and they don't even bother with wanting me to send it back.  They just tell me to keep it and they send the correct one.  I wish you had pursued it.  I think you must have dealt with an odd person.  I have even had a defective part before and they made good on that too.  And please don't get the wrong impression that they make a lot of mistakes.  It is that I order a LOT of stuff from them.
